Roof Lantern Fitting Stages

The fitting on a roof lantern is a relatively easy task providing the existing roof has been prepared correctly and with care. 1. Prepare The Roof: Here is the prepared roof with the steels and joists all in place and fully felted.

2. Put The Projection Cill In Position: The next step is to fix the cill to the opening.

3. Fit The Upstands: Now the upstands are fitted to the cill.

4. Prepare the Roof: The roof will normally be prepared on the ground, ready to be lifted up to the opening.

5. Fit The Roof To The Upstands: The prepared roof is positioned on the upstands and secured.

6. Glaze the Roof: The final step is to glaze the roof, add the capping's and clean up.
